‘Coaching Your Team to Achieve a Safer Workplace' — Kevin Sheedy

You can implement the best OHS management systems, policies and procedures, but until your employees embrace the idea of preventing risks in the workplace, accidents and incidents will still occur. The NSCA invites you to hear AFL coaching legene, Kevin Sheedy, discuss how you can effectively change your work culture so that it is more safety conscious, using various coaching techniques. Kevin’s coaching experience and contemporary approach can be applied to all sorts of teams, large and small, who are faced with cultural change.
About the Speaker: Mr Kevin Sheedy is the AFL’s most enduring contemporary coach and arguable the most imaginative in the history of the game. Certainly, no-one would call him predictable or lacklustre. A player and coach over five decades, Kevin has an unsurpassed record of involvement in 1000 games and 8 premierships. His passion for the game will be reignited in 2012 when he becomes the inaugural coach of the new AFL team for Greater Western Sydney — Team GWS.

The Happiness + Wellbeing @ Work conference is facilitated by some of Australia’s leading experts on psychology, leadership, OHS and Human Resources.
The conference, now in its fourth year, presents the latest research and strategies to enable management to generate increased productivity through the dominant value of employee wellbeing.
This year, attendees will gain an insight into successful employee wellbeing programs through case studies by Rail Corp and Sanitarium. Workshops will give participants practical exercises and ideas to bring back to the workplace.
